Tailscale

I am a Member of Technical Staff on Tailscale’s Security team. We are responsible for the infrastructure security, application security, and compliance programs, and collaborate with product developers on securely implementing features in the product.

Oso

I was a product engineer on the Oso team building Oso Cloud, a hosted authorization service. I also led the security and privacy programs, and built the billing system for Oso Cloud.

Intercom

Eight years, two chapters.

• 2016 – 2021 Security team lead

  I led the Security team in Intercom's San Francisco headquarters, collaborating closely with Legal and Finance. I built Intercom's monitoring infrastructure that underpinned our compliance and security program, and managed the team from 2020 until the role was later relocated to Dublin.

• 2013 – 2016 Growth team founder

  I founded Intercom's Growth team, shipping features to convert prospects into successful customers. I built Intercom's internal billing system that powered subscriptions, feature provisioning, and commission-based sales compensation.

Noisetor

I ran Noisetor, the largest Tor exit node hosted in the United States, as primary admin and Treasurer.

Noisebridge

I was Treasurer of Noisebridge, a 501(c)(3) non-profit hackerspace located in San Francisco’s Mission District.

PageLever

I built PageLever Now, a real-time analytics tool for monitoring advertising spend performance on Facebook. Acquired by Unified Social in 2013.

PhoneSys

I co-founded a startup based on automating phone-based sales and support flows using data integrations with back-of-house customer systems. We failed to reach product-market fit and ceased operating in 2012.
